The Equality Standard is a framework to guide sports and community organisations towards achieving equality. It assists organisations in developing structures and processes, assessing performance and ensuring continuous improvement in equality. The Equality Standard has been devised by the Sports Councils, and is endorsed by the Womens Sports Foundation, the English Federation of Disability Sport, Sporting Equals and The CCPR.

South Yorkshire Sport are committed to working in an equitable way throughout all our work areas and with our staff team and achieved the foundation level of the Equality Standard in April 2007.
