BSARP
is the strategic steering group for sport, active recreation and physical
activity in Barnsley. Partners include Fit for the Future, Barnsley Black and
Ethnic Minority Initiative, Barnsley Primary Care Trust, Barnsley Premier
Leisure, Education, Culture, Sport and Tourism (BMBC), Further Education,
Social Services and Barnsley Community Safety Partnership.
BSARP
strategically supports the Barnsley Sport and Activity Forum (BSAF), which is
the one stop shop for sport and activity development. BSAF is a partnership
made up of local sports clubs, national governing bodies of sport, School Sport
Partnership Development Managers, BMBC Culture, Sport and Tourism and
individuals interested in sport and active recreation.

Sport Sheffield, the Community Sports Network for Sheffield, was launched in
October 2006. Councillor Mike Pye chairs the partnership, which is currently
gaining support from all areas of sport and active recreation in the city.

Doncaster Active Partnership was formed in December 2006, and has a broad
membership including the health and public sector, voluntary sector,
